Did you know that square dancing is the official folk dance of Colorado? Did you know that square dancers dance to a variety of music, including, but not limited to Rock and Roll, Classical, Disco, Western, Big Band, 50’s, and Country Music? If you answered no, you just learned something new about square dancing.
Scootbacks dance mainstream and plus as well as round dancing (synchronized choreographed ballroom dance). We normally dance on the 2nd and 4th Fridays from September through mid May. On 5th Fridays, we may have an all plus dance. We are dark during the summer.

Our Club Dances:
We begin each evening with pre-rounds at 7:30 pm with phase II-III rounds. Our square dance program begins at 8 pm, with one round dance between each tip. Usually, the third or fourth tip is Plus. See our Dance Schedule Page for details.
Our dances are held at the Broomfield United Methodist Church, located at 545 West 10th Avenue, Broomfield, CO 80020. We dance in the church’s Family Life Center, which is accessible at the north end of the east side parking lot. Please bring your own water bottle. Dancers and guests may bring commercially packaged snacks if they wish. There are always many snacks and a water cooler jug at our dances. And we have coffee!
Singles, couples, families, and youth are always welcome at our dances.
